I'm David Reed, a parent based in London, UK, and I built Minute Maths out of a simple goal: to help kids and adults enjoy learning maths while building strong mental arithmetic skills.
Like many parents, I wanted to support my child's education — but I also wanted to make it exciting, engaging, and easy to fit into busy days. Drilling times tables at the kitchen table wasn't cutting it. I wanted something my child would actually choose to open. And so Minute Maths was born.
Along the way I realised these quick games work just as well for grown-ups. Plenty of adults haven't done mental arithmetic since school and find their speed has quietly slipped. The Daily Challenge and leaderboard are there for anyone who wants to keep their numbers sharp — and a bit of friendly competition doesn't hurt.
Whether your child is just starting to explore numbers or looking to sharpen their speed and accuracy, Minute Maths offers quick, lively activities designed to:
The exercises are bite-sized and built for short bursts of practice — at home, on the go, or in the classroom. I believe in progress over perfection: regular, entertaining practice beats long, dreaded sessions every time.
Everything here is free to play. You don't need an account to start — just pick a game and go. If you want to track your scores, climb the leaderboard, or save your progress, you can create a free account.
Everything is designed with simplicity, clarity and encouragement in mind. No pressure. No endless drills. Just Minute Maths.
Thanks for stopping by — I hope you and your family enjoy it.
